Being Led by the Holy Spirit
It has been awhile since my last post because I have been awaiting responses to my last post requesting feedback from those who have been involved in the Pentecostal or Charismatic movements. Regretably I have received none! I find it hard to believe that no one who has been Baptized in the Spirit reads this blog. I know that the issue of the role of the Holy Spirit is a hot button one in the Small Church movement. I continue to invite feedback...this is an issue that I care deeply about and want to learn more. You can respond here or email me directly at: goldengopher72@gmail.com. Thanks and I wait to hear from you.

Hello fellow traveler in the journey for spiritual fulfillment.
I, unfortunately, have not been baptized in the spirit. Furthermore, I take issue with the American obsession with organized religion. How can you defend a faith that has caused so much suffering and turmoil in the world?
I seek the higher road--love.
I look forward to reading your rebuttal on this blog.

Franz,
Thank you for your comments. I am not sure what you mean by "the American obsession with organized religion". Most Americans are raised and inculturated in a religious tradition and know no other way to express their faith. We need new paradigms. With regards your other point: it is religions that have caused (and continue to cause) suffering and turmoil in the world NOT faith - don't confuse the two. Jesus' mission was to point the way to God not to found a religion.
